This silent film depicts rare footage of American Soldiers training to attach trenchlines with French built Renault tanks and “after training” scenes of American Soldiers cleaning weapons and vehicles.
A mobile field kitchen is also shown for a rare glimpse of how WWI field kitchens operated in support of the troops. In addition, “off duty” time in WWI is depicted. Soldiers fish, feed a mascot bird and a local sutlers wagon is filmed as two American officers make a purchase. In all, an excellent and rare view of tank-infantry training and the life of the rank and file in WWI.
